We all have our coffee habits and it’s very hard to change them. Our ambassador Kelly Doody was no exception to this rule – until she discovered the Keurig brewer and the almost endless options of K-Cup packs she could savour with it. She is sharing her passion with us.

You know what they say – when it comes to coffee, old habits die hard. That was until the moment that sleek new Keurig coffee maker arrived on my doorstep. Now, I'd had no shortage of colleagues, friends and family members rave about their single-serve brewers over the past couple years, but had never considered buying one myself. I had my reasons. Among them, the fact that I enjoyed having an entire pot to pour from throughout the morning while working from home, and that I preferred my coffee abnormally strong – so strong that no one else would drink it. The idea that some small pre-portioned cup was going to dictate the strength of my morning coffee on my behalf just didn't seem right. And given the extent to which I adored my cool white ceramic coffeemaker at home and a steaming hot cafe-bought latte while on the go, I admit I wasn't all that excited about the Keurig brewing system's pending arrival. I'm also quite adverse to kitchen clutter, so if this thing was going to earn a permanent spot on my countertop, it had a lot to prove. 

I was, however, willing to give this one-button brewing machine a try given that a) it was a gift, and b) my husband and I had been locked in a battle over our coffeemaker since the fateful day I'd made the solo decision to keep mine on the counter and send his to the dump when we first moved in together. The new one on its way to our house might just be the peacemaking kitchen appliance we needed. 

And behold. I unabashedly admit that I have fallen head over teacup in love with this friendly machine, as has my husband. We are complete Keurig nerds now, making trips to the store to scout out the newest K-Cup pack flavours on weekends. I never dreamed how much I would enjoy a properly-strengthened cup of coffee, notably one that's made in less than a minute. No beans to grind, no timer to set, no carafe to clean, no grounds to dump. It truly is a coffee-drinker's dream... just one button and you're on your way to brewing, sipping, buzzing heaven.
